In their efforts to improve their pharmacy outreach, better target their market and compete with the “big pharmacy chains,” The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy  reached out to 4CDesignWorks’ creative and GIS divisions to help them better define the opportunities in their target market.

Our GIS team helped them to view and analyze data about Penn Hills and Oakmont — data they never considered before.  4CGeoWorks worked with The Medicine Shoppe to help them define the service area for each office.  They then utilized location analytic tools, demographics, and psycho-graphic segmentation data to give them insight into market dynamics including relationships, patterns, and trends.  They also helped them understand the lifestyle qualities of the market.  The mapping analysis included a file of competitors, potential partners, demographic reports, drive totals and a comprehensive market analysis.

Materials include: produced door hangers, one page flyers, direct mail invitations, and a variety of printable templates for news inserts.

As part of this engagement, 4CDesignWorks delivered a 1-3 year marketing plan and is currently working with The Medicine Shoppe on a retainer basis to deliver a wide variety of marketing campaigns that are specifically tailored to deliver awareness and sales results.

The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy is an independently owned pharmacy, with locations in Penn Hills and Oakmont.  In recent years, they have diversified in other related “wellness” services, but they remain committed to their pharmacy roots in serving the communities in which they began.
