Consulting Engineering Company Website Redesign
The 4CDesignWorks team was tasked several years back to create a new company website that has interesting visuals that tie to the vast expertise contained at O’Donnell Consulting Engineers. As part of the effort to rebuild the site, an emphasis was placed on reorganizing the various services and a marketing twist was integrated for a “softer” approach to this otherwise very cut and dry industry. Functions of the site are to promote recent projects, upcoming events, place more emphasis on the Expert Witness and Forensic Engineering services, provide interest to their multiple international clients, highlight their strong history and knowledge base in a intuitive way.
The result was a well organized and user-friendly website that was well received by the client and was further enhanced as a promotional sales aspect was added for selling new book publications.
As with many WordPress websites, as time goes on, organizational changes to the company capabilities and technology changes can force rebuilds. The O’Donnell website was rebuilt following our same time-tested website redesign process by consulting with the client first to outline any possible new requirements for the rebuild.
Visually, the website remained the originally created brand pattern, refreshed logo design, custom service icons, office mural photography, and augmented stock photography shots used throughout. With the visuals mostly settled the technical aspects of the site became the main requirements. Starting with a hosting migration to a managed WordPress solution the website was rebuilt in a development environment that focused on a rebuilt theme, an improved site search, options for hiding pages from search engines (and internal site search), additional SEO management, and a new contact form tool.
