What are the advantages of using 4C?
We have been working with ARS and their products for several years and have become quite knowledgeable about the Mango Web product and how to best strategically integrate it into your online platforms. Our company has been in business since 1986, and our parent company, 4CTechnologies, is a custom application shop.
How does 4C customize Mango Web?
To be clear, ARS handles any/all functionality and we step in to enhance the visual aspect of the application. We think of this process much like customizing the exterior of a car. All the parts are there (the body of the car, the engine, stereo, etc.), but we can tint the windows, add the rims, put in some seat covers, add a new coat of paint and pin stripes!
How do I request additional features?
If there is a key feature you are looking for the application to ‘do’ – or a new process that is not accounted for, the ARS development team would be needed to do so.
We have worked with ARS to add notifications/alerts on specific pages of the portal. These were put in place as ‘work arounds’ but effectively don’t handle any intelligent action beyond displaying information and conveying specific information.
What If I want an Android/iOS native app version?
Due to this being an ARS product, we recommend you pursue further discussion with ARS. They own the product, and have been asked about this item before, however submitting a tailored version to Mango Web to either App store (Google or Apple) has it’s own set of challenges.
In recent years there has been much less of an absolute need to have an application be downloaded via an app store – unless offline capabilities are necessary.
How do I update Mango Web?
You should be aware that 4C does not own the Mango Web product (ARS does) any updates/revisions/upgrades are handled directly by ARS, and we revise the UI based on the update schedule. Major releases may need to be coordinated so that any impacted UI feature can be accounted for prior to launching them live.
Recently Mango Web 2.2 was released, which had multiple UI impacts and have been accounted for in at least two clients that utilize 4C for their digital marketing activities.
What if I want/need a new marketing website?
That is great! 4CDesignWorks specializes in digital marketing and creating new websites for clients in all industries. We find that many clients looking to use Mango Web are doing so to move away from an inefficient or non-responsive web development provider that typically handles their website.
We suggest that the marketing websites be an accurate reflection of your services and products. In order to do this having a website that takes advantage of SEO and a Content Management System (CMS) so that text can change when you need it!
