Helinet Aviation Services came to 4CTechnologies and 4CDesignWorks to develop a native android and iOS application that would allow users to book and pay for charter flights through a mobile device, as well as through a web browser. Helinet selected 4C after an extensive list of web development vendors from coast to coast. Once the project was approved 4CTechnologies got to work outlining the release plan and building mock-ups for user experience (UX) testing, review, and revision to ensure the best workflow possible for the consumers looking to easily book flights.
Beyond the technical challenges of having one application work in many environments (iOS and Android devices, as well as on the web via a secure portal) the visual challenges of this charter application included the need to remain true to an evolving Helinet brand in the midst of a brand adjustment. This design challenge was met with a flexible front-end that was straight-forward in its presentation that had some elements of surprise, such as the loading screen done with a helicopter animation.
Once the application was complete, 4CDesignWorks prepared the marketing images that display within each of the app stores in support of the app’s public release.
