Rebranding & Re-imagining A Pennsylvania-based Engineering, Planning & Land Surveying Corporation
Ludgate Engineering Corporation and 4CDesignWorks began discussions for rebuilding the existing corporate website in 2020 when seemingly everything was “on pause” in a variety of ways due to the global pandemic. Through remote communication, the 4CDesignWorks team devised a plan to re-imagine the Ludgate corporate brand, serving as a foundation for the website’s visual elements. As a first step, a logo redesign was created, focusing more on the company’s “engineering” capabilities and moving away from the literal components used in the previous branding and logo.
New Branding & Corporate Logo Development
The concept, execution, and presentation of the new logo were well received without any alterations. In addition, various versions of the logo (lockups) were created, and a branding guideline sheet was produced to communicate the colors, fonts, and proper logo usage within a one-page reference. Stationery designs were also developed for both print production and electronic formats.
WordPress Website Redesign & Rebuild
The website rebuild was originally the primary focus. The goal was to ensure a comprehensive online representation of the company. Determining the streamlined navigation and armed with a revised brand, the homepage design was created, reviewed, and approved to move forward with the development. As part of this, the website was migrated to a new hosting provider. The new website utilized revised, edited, and enhanced content from the previous website with new project information and photography. Royalty-free and stock photography along with a grid-like supportive secondary graphics were used to fill out the remainder of the site and bring a unique flare to visuals throughout.
