When the boss’s daughter has a wedding and an eCommerce/room reservation component is involved, you get to do fun materials, build a website, and help to make a special day for the groom and bride to be! What started as a side project to ensure that room reservations could be accounted for through the use of an eCommerce platform, naturally expanded into the creation of a save the date and some fun graphics to help bring a “retro feel” to life.
This destination wedding was planned at a small but quaint seaside inn. The facility was not only the site of the wedding itself, but also offered accommodations for most of the guests and the wedding party as well as additional weekend festivities. The venue is a popular beach-front location, but their website does not allow for online booking. As a result, the event needed an on-line strategy in order to ensure guests could reserve rooms and pay online without difficulty, ensuring seamless room assignments while eliminating any frustrations.
The wedding RSVP functionality was to be handled by theknot.com, which added another layer of complexity to planning an easy walk-through for users.
