The founder of RSG1 Foundation desired a website that is easier to manage and update to keep up with events that take place throughout the year, as well as obtain donations.  4CDesignWorks became an immediate fit to build this new online presence, with previous experience on a wide variety of past engagements.  The project started with discovery. First researching the company itself, it’s competition and/or similar organizations, requirements for the new website, as well as potential future needs.

RSG1 Foundation Website - Before & After
Website Before & After. The new website features a brand new logo and appearance.

The logo was the initial item to be reviewed and deconstructed. Several iterations were created with some concepts attempting to utilize the original logo icon of the peace sign. After this exploration a different direction was taken: focusing on the human element. The result is a ‘smile’ graphic that stems from the 1 in the name. Taking the concept further, this design was morphed into a “face tag” that creates a flexible display for visuals, acts as a container, can be used in one color, and has extensive reach in how it’s shown in various environments (such as on the web, in print, and on social networks).

A brand sheet guide was created to keep things simple for any future parties that may get involved with the organization. This reference guide displays all elements of the brand, from fonts, to colors, to supportive assets and examples.

To date, this branding effort has garnered accolades from various awards including an GDUSA American Graphic Design Award and a Gold MarCom award. Both specifically for the Pro Bono category for Branding + Corporate Identity. The website also received an Honorable Mention in the Pro Bono category from the dotCOMM awards.
